We have spend 15 hours more or less in a day to visit gallipoli while we were in Istanbul, it was total worth to do, it was long but great to experience the Gallipoli national park and visit the Anzac Cove first anzac landing beach in gallipoli peninsula. We joined to the group tour of Gallipoli which departs from istanbul 06:30 and return to Istanbul 22:00pm, We were tired but, got a great day. Everything was on time as promised, pick up from hotel in Istanbul, drop off at hotel, sightseeing and guided service, all were excellent and they give you lunch as well. The tour was well thought out and very detailed. Definitely recommend, if you go turkey, you should visit Gallipoli Peninsula and Gallipoli National Park.

We booked the gallipoli tour from Istanbul maybe 3 month before we joined to the gallipoli tour.

Anyhow, the tour started with the pick up service wihch was on time, after meeting with tour guide and group, we had a driving to Gallipoli peninsula (Eceabat, Canakkale), it was about 5 hours journey in the morning. On the way of Gallipoli we had excellent breakfast, it was good because, we departed from hotel early and we didnt get breakfast. The nice breakfast was included in the price. We didnt pay extra for the breakfast. It was about 30 minutes stopover before the gallipoli tour. Then we continued to tour, we arrived to Eceabat it was lunch time, we have had a lunch in a local restaurant, it was nice to taste local foods and no thinking to eat during the tour was great.

Gallipoli tour was started after the lunch, we had and excellent tour guide during the tour and explain to everything one by one and answer to all our questions with the fluent english. The Tour guide was turkish and talking well english and we also had conversation about Turkey and the world. Turkish people are very kind and friendly, especially, our tour guide Ismail was excellent as a tour guide, gave us informative tour that every one was happy and helped us for all our needs, as you know, you dont know the turkish language even to buy a water, you had trouble some times, not in everywhere but some times and guide is solving. It is good to have tour guide during the day.

Anyhow, our lovel gallipoli tour and experiences, we returned to istanbul it was late night, but dinner was not included, if it was, it would be great, but on the way we have had a stopover to have dinner as well, it was good because, when we returned to istanbul it was 22pm at night.

I wanted to spend more then a day in Gallipoli to visit the Gallipoli Campaign but I didnt have enough time to do this. I went to Gallipoli Battlefields tour with a small group which was about 13 people during the tour, I joined to group, it was cheap by the way that is why, If you have mony I recommend private gallipoli battle fields tour that you will have everything your own. Anyhow, the group was small and I had also time to ask my wonders, tour guide was great, explaining everything then was giving time to ask our questions, after visiting before visit the battlefileds one by one. At the end of the day, I got tired because of the visiting many of them. I had great experiences of breakfast on the way going, lunch in a local restaurant and great guided gallipoli battlefileds tour from Istanbul, about 8 hours driving for going and coming, 4 - 5 hours guided tour for Gallipoli Campaign and much for that you have to visit to understand what was happened there. Frsit of all we picke up from Our hostel in Sultanahmet @ 07:00. We supposed to picked up @ 06:30. I guess the driver just forgot us for a while. This was the only problem we faced in this tour. Marvelous day trip for Gallipoli Campaign from Istanbul. We had done it with friends group, started morning and ended in the evening, It was very well arranged for a small group that took us to visit almost every where the battlefields holding places in Gallipoli Peninsula in Canakkale.

It was a great trip from Istanbul to Gallipoli Campaing.

The tour was started from hotel with pick up service, It was eary in the morning at 06:30 am. and then we went to meeting point of the group. We departed from meeting point at 07:00 am. It was about one and half hour later we had a stopover for the breakfast.

It was in a restaurant and was very good open buffet-breakfast on the way of Gallipoli in Tekirdağ (tour guide informed us about the town that it was a small town which is famous with its meals, the name of meal is Köfte and especial cheese dessert, tour guide informed us) . After breakfast stopover, we continued to drive to Gallipoli.

It was about four and half house, driving in total to Gallipoli. At end of the drive we arrived and continue to restaurant to have lunch because It was lunch time when we arrived. (in Eceabat, Canakkale where Gallipoli campaign is.) After lunch short drive to Battlefields of Gallipoli.

The tour guide was explaining the every corner and answering to the questions. We visited one by one. Touring in Battlefileds was about five hours long more or less. After tour, we returned to Istanbul. When we arrive back to Istanbul It was about 22:00 - 30 pm around. It was a long day to visit the Gallipoli and around.

It was worth to go and visit also get information about the Gallipoli War. Tour guide was excellent with his english and knowledge about the history and stories of Gallipoli.
